The last sunbeams

I got such a great response from you guys, regarding my first outfit shots! Thank you so much!
So, I decided to now post outfit pictures on a regular basis. I hope with all my heart, that my style creates new inspirations and ideas for a lot of you guys and that these can lighten up your days! :)
Todays outfit has been my favorite for the last few weeks! I am so in love with my leather skirt, which I got from San Francisco last year. So my white button-up blouse. ( Which I think is a MUST-OWN for every woman these days)
My black shoulder bag was actually a very affordable one, but I hope that one day, I can treat myself an original, classic Chanel bag ;)
Oh and my absolute favorite, which you will see in a lot on future outfit pictures, are my black over knees, which are just the comfiest and warmest accessory ever!

Hope you like it guys!
All the best,

Chasing away the winterdarkness

Some of my friends have asked me to share some outfit pictures with you guys on my blog. At the beginning, I felt quite overwhelmed about this request but I thought a lot about it and I guess if this might be an inspiration for you and for your daily outfits, I am more than happy to show you some of my favourite looks! :)
This outfit is a perfect one to chase away the winter darkness with some flowery prints and colours. But still, its quite freezing outside, so I am wearing a comfy grey sweater.
My newest acquisition is my black fake fur jacket, which I wear almost every day!

Really hope you like it guys! If you do so, just leave a comment behind, to get even more outfit posts! :)

Trenchcoats, totally trenchant!

 WELCOME BACK good old trenchcoat!
I am so in love with these two outfits by Michael Kors! Just because they are so sustainable and never out of fashion.
So if you own such a lovely coat , never never never (!) give it away, even if you think you are absolutely not gonna wear it again! Recently my mum confessed, that she gave away a blue-marine trench coat exactly because she thought it was out of fashion.. Fashion is never going out of fashion! Keep your stuff, one day it is going to be "in" again! Promise! :)

Mustard, canary or lemon?

WOW! This year starts of colorful! NR.1 trend color this up-coming season is, not to overlook, YELLOW!
It seems, that no other color causes such great controversy among people. (maybe apart from green..)
I have to admit, I always thought this color best suits more naturally tanned girls with chocolate brown or dark hair.. I am obviously quite the opposite... blonde, blue eyes and the "darkest" I get in summer is with a sunburn(!) So as I heard of this trend, I was not about to jump for joy, but so I looked closer at some catwalk photos, especially at the combination of the color with fabrics or accessories.
In the first picture, the designer has combined a fringy yellow skirt with a light black and white spotted blouse. In the choice of the shoes, we again detect black and yellow. A very clever and classic look! I also would not go with big, massive jewelry, rather a little black shoulder bag.

This second picture is a more classy and glamorous outfit but it definitely shows, that yellow can also be very suited for a gala dinner, for instance. Here, I would again pick a black clutch to perfect this beautiful dress.

Oh and look! These two models are blondes and fair-skinned, as I am! ;)
So I would say, just go for it! Maybe start of with a bag or a lovely pair of sandals. But I truly believe, it would suit almost everyone!

All the best,
J*

This year.. I promise...

Usually, I am not that kind of person, who sets crazy and almost impossible New Year`s resolution to achieve during a new year.. However, this year I decided to finally kick my own butt!
(and yes, it started pretty well!)
Here are some of the goals I set myself:

-doing Yoga or Pilates on a regular basis
-stop eating between the meals (like crisps or other evil stuff...)
-stop drinking soda
-go to the Gym more often and get a defined body for bikini season
-stop spending money on nail refills
-Stop spending money on clothes or shoes I already have

So these are quite a lot of goals, I know.. But since this is the second week of the new year, I`am doing pretty good!
I have been to the Gym twice a week, I only drink water, didnt buy new clothes(!) and I declared crisps to be my worst enemy!
What about you? You have any goals you wanted to achieve? And what are your motivations to do so?

Now off to a great 2014!

Queen Alexa

I got myself a pre-christmas present I wanted for such a long time;
Alexa Chungs book called "IT"
As she is my absolute fashion icon, as well as my biggest inspiration, this book was an utterly MUST-OWN for me!
And I must say, I adore it as much as I adore Alexa! The rosé pink cover with the the catching blue eye in its middle, is so simple and still so precious... So the content of the book. Filled with very personal photos and illustrations of her own, this book embodies her sense of fashion, art and her way of going though life with such an ease. Oh brother, I cannot stop raving about Alexa! :)

So, if you are looking for a cool christmas present for a good friend or sister, this would definitely be the perfect choice! (Or for your own of course too!) ;)

THANK YOU ALEXA!

Freaking Freezing..

Since I was a little girl I totally loved winter, especially in Switzerland; landscapes are covered with white, powdery snow, people generally slow down, are nicer to each other and the sound of christmas music join our day.
However, my appropriate shoe selection narrows down to the minimum... So every winter, I ask myself: What shoes can I wear, other than big fat boots or UGGS, to keep my feet warm, comfy and dry (!) and still look fashionable?!?
As I mentioned, I am an owner of UGGS, because they are warm! And yes, I recognized that these are not the most elegant shoes on earth but they keep me WARM! Maybe you are lucky and don`t find yourself in this annual plight, because you live in a big city or on a place where there is simply no winter... but for those who visited Switzerland in its most coldest season, will know, ITS FREAKING FREEZING!
So, the sad and harsh truth is; I have not yet found a wonderful pair of warm, comfy winter shoes that will be my companion during this calm and peaceful time!

Have a lovely and merry pre-christmas time!

Mirror Mirror on the wall..

As my lovely sister got a massive schedule at school, she sadly has no time to shot my outfit photos. So as a independent (and strong) woman, I create an amusing "Mirror Mirror on the wall-Selfie-thingy" out of this misery. Hope you do not mind so much.. but actually it was great fun! :)
To this outfit you could wear some flat ballerinas, or ankle high booties (thats how I did it) or even high heels when going out.
So finally:
"Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest (Leo) of them all?"

Have a nice evening!

Oh my dear horrorscope..

I believe that they are various types of horoscope readers..
Number one always opens a magazine with the only goal to read they`re horoscope right before everything..
Number two reads the pages like every other page..
Number three reads it with a slight touch of amusement and sarcasm..
And number four does leave out the horoscope page at all...

I would count myself to number two of horoscope readers.
On one hand it is just funny and entertaining and on the other hand aren't we just steadily waiting for this forecast to become valid? (or to some extent valid..)
But it is a fact that those forecasts are mostly positive and very rarely negative. Why?!
Frustration, failure and bad moods are a part of life and if those people(owning the ability to read the stars) can tell you what is going to happen with you the following week, why not telling you the negative things as well? Are we, the readers, afraid of the truth? Yes, I think so..
Would you like to read something like: "Be careful tuesday the 15th, your probability of falling down the stairs and break your ankle is very high.." (one of the less severe examples..)
No of course not, no one wants to hear such things.
So these positive forecasts seem to be justified.. Even if you are not one of group number one of the horoscope readers, it will still give you something: Positive messages and actually that is what we humans like to hear.. Nothing else..

Happy wednesday everyone,

J*
