Queen Alexa

I got myself a pre-christmas present I wanted for such a long time;
Alexa Chungs book called "IT"
As she is my absolute fashion icon, as well as my biggest inspiration, this book was an utterly MUST-OWN for me!
And I must say, I adore it as much as I adore Alexa! The rosé pink cover with the the catching blue eye in its middle, is so simple and still so precious... So the content of the book. Filled with very personal photos and illustrations of her own, this book embodies her sense of fashion, art and her way of going though life with such an ease. Oh brother, I cannot stop raving about Alexa! :)

So, if you are looking for a cool christmas present for a good friend or sister, this would definitely be the perfect choice! (Or for your own of course too!) ;)

THANK YOU ALEXA!

Freaking Freezing..

Since I was a little girl I totally loved winter, especially in Switzerland; landscapes are covered with white, powdery snow, people generally slow down, are nicer to each other and the sound of christmas music join our day.
However, my appropriate shoe selection narrows down to the minimum... So every winter, I ask myself: What shoes can I wear, other than big fat boots or UGGS, to keep my feet warm, comfy and dry (!) and still look fashionable?!?
As I mentioned, I am an owner of UGGS, because they are warm! And yes, I recognized that these are not the most elegant shoes on earth but they keep me WARM! Maybe you are lucky and don`t find yourself in this annual plight, because you live in a big city or on a place where there is simply no winter... but for those who visited Switzerland in its most coldest season, will know, ITS FREAKING FREEZING!
So, the sad and harsh truth is; I have not yet found a wonderful pair of warm, comfy winter shoes that will be my companion during this calm and peaceful time!

Have a lovely and merry pre-christmas time!

Mirror Mirror on the wall..

As my lovely sister got a massive schedule at school, she sadly has no time to shot my outfit photos. So as a independent (and strong) woman, I create an amusing "Mirror Mirror on the wall-Selfie-thingy" out of this misery. Hope you do not mind so much.. but actually it was great fun! :)
To this outfit you could wear some flat ballerinas, or ankle high booties (thats how I did it) or even high heels when going out.
So finally:
"Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest (Leo) of them all?"

Have a nice evening!

Oh my dear horrorscope..

I believe that they are various types of horoscope readers..
Number one always opens a magazine with the only goal to read they`re horoscope right before everything..
Number two reads the pages like every other page..
Number three reads it with a slight touch of amusement and sarcasm..
And number four does leave out the horoscope page at all...

I would count myself to number two of horoscope readers.
On one hand it is just funny and entertaining and on the other hand aren't we just steadily waiting for this forecast to become valid? (or to some extent valid..)
But it is a fact that those forecasts are mostly positive and very rarely negative. Why?!
Frustration, failure and bad moods are a part of life and if those people(owning the ability to read the stars) can tell you what is going to happen with you the following week, why not telling you the negative things as well? Are we, the readers, afraid of the truth? Yes, I think so..
Would you like to read something like: "Be careful tuesday the 15th, your probability of falling down the stairs and break your ankle is very high.." (one of the less severe examples..)
No of course not, no one wants to hear such things.
So these positive forecasts seem to be justified.. Even if you are not one of group number one of the horoscope readers, it will still give you something: Positive messages and actually that is what we humans like to hear.. Nothing else..

Happy wednesday everyone,

With some animality..

These are all pictures from Mangos Fall Collection 2013.
And as previously mentioned, this fall is all about the boyish, british style, which I adore soooo much!
But don`t worry now, you don`t have to plunder your boyfriends closet just because it says boyish.. This trend has still its very feminine and soft sides! Combine a clutch, high heel or a statement necklace, and it will make you look much more feminine than you would expect.
One thing that leaps out at me, is the mix of different materials and prints, seen on picture one above. A checkered black and white (oversized) blazer combined to a leo printed clutch, create a very interesting and clever look!
TIPP and MUST-WEAR this season: Leather jacket

have a nice week everyone

Rock the Sock!

Everyone knows them..
Everyone saw them..
Jokes have been made about them..
But they still exist..
SOCKS IN SANDALS!

Especially german and also british tourists get associated with this horrifying "fashion disaster"!
Combined to brown bermuda shorts and a flower printed shirt (and a sunburned face) it completes our typical image of tourists enjoying their holidays and committing one of the most severe fashion crimes ever!!
Do not get me wrong. Your on holidays, relaxing from work or family.. but is this really a reason for such headless clothes choices?

Up on till now, socks were just an everyday basic everyone had in their closets.
HOWEVER, these basics (once preferred hidden) are now one of the most upcoming fashion, lets call it accessory, this fall!!
Probably not in sandals combined to shorts and flower shirt, but in pretty ballerinas or plateau shoes or even high heels they look actually very lovely!

My personal fashion inspiration Alexa Chung wears them with smart classiness to a skirt or shorts.

So from the image of sunburned tourists, we now moved on to high street fashion styles that can rock every outfit! And that is one of those many reasons why I love fashion so much! It surprises me everyday and always leads me to new interesting experiments!

H&M released this years fall collection.
Very boyish but still elegant and classy! Exactly the way I like it!
Another huge trend I am soooo into, are hats.
No matter if big, round or small like the one above, this season you gotta cover your head.
